The international art competition, Mandrać, has for decades provided an opportunity for artists to demonstrate their colleagues and visitors the most valuable aspect of art - the process itself.
The international art competition, Mandrać, has for decades provided an opportunity for artists to demonstrate their colleagues and visitors the most valuable aspect of art - the process itself. Renowned artists, and amateurs alike, develop their works on the spot, "ex tempore", in Volosko which becomes a large art gallery and studio in the open. It lasts for two days and features both painters and photographers.
The first day of Mandrać is dedicated to budding painters under the age of 14. The main event takes place the following day when adult artists gather on the squares, streets, docks and stairways of Volosko. The event is accompanied by concerts featuring renowned musicians.
