Workshop: Rock Samphire and Skin

Location: Zora Cultural Centre
Start time: 10:00 AM
Duration: up to 2 hours
Workshop leaders: Meri Popović and Jana Brdar

Rock samphire is a halophyte that grows in close proximity to the sea and is rich in vitamin C, mineral salts, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, iodine, carotenoids, and biologically active phenolic compounds, including chlorogenic acid. In cosmetics, its essential oil and hydrosol are used to stimulate collagen synthesis, tone the skin, and provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Rock samphire is particularly beneficial for mature skin and anti-aging products, helping to firm the skin and reduce the retention of excess water and fat in tissues.

The workshop offers theoretical knowledge about the properties and use of rock samphire in cosmetics, followed by a practical session – making an emulsion or face cream based on two rock samphire extracts: hydrosol and essential oil. After the workshop, participants will take home their own handmade product.

Participation is free with prior registration.
Registration is mandatory at least 24 hours in advance. Please include the participant’s full name and mobile phone number in the application.
